We liked everything about this hotel. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. The location- even though there was some noise from the ferry terminal and boat traffic it was good to watch the different boats all day long. The pool area was lovely and the sun beds were comfortable. It was good to have a swim overlooking the Arabian sea and to watch the boat traffic. We enjoyed a complimentary evening harbour cruise. We opted for eating a vegetarian diet whilst in India and the choice on offer was sufficient for our requirements. The pesto pasta with garlic bread was particularly delicious. At the time of our stay there was a tourism convention event held at the hotel and so all guests were invited. The display of foods/drinks were amazing and it was good to chat with the other guests, staff, travel agents and the owner and his family We liked the hotel that much we decided to stay for another three nights at the end of our tour of Kerala.

I came here because to search about the history of relationships between India and Japan in 16th century. Staying Brunton was the best choice,I guess. The building itself skillfully reproduces the historical design, and the lobby was like a museum or gallery, full of items that let you image about old days. The lady at the reception provided me with accurate information to make my wishes come true. What we should also be grateful for was the presence of Mr. Sunny, the hotel-belonging tuk-tuk driver. He guided me in accurate English perfectly. Thanks to Sunny, I felt as if I were at home during my staying. About eating, I decided to eat all my meals at one restaurant within the hotel and went there all the time. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and all were conversational. The value of this hotel goes beyond its good facilities and rich food; to me, it was more than just a consulate.

Our room, a deluxe sea facing room with balcony, was so beautiful and perfect that I started to cry when I saw it! It was exactly what I hoped it would be. Celebrating our 47th anniversary, we chose this very special room. We were absolutely delighted! And the staff!!!! Everyone made us feel so welcome, and they made sure our anniversary was very special! A beautiful flower arrangement on the bed spelling out "Happy Anniversary" and a delicious cake. At dinner, another delicious cake! The hotel is perfectly situated for visiting Cochin. I had several treatments at the spa, which were excellent. All in all a most wonderful stay!

The staff are lovey, and incredibly helpful. Food was delicious (specially the new seafood terrace in the restaurant) The swimming pool was clean, the water surprisingly warm, and we never had trouble getting a lounger or towels Sympathetically designed when it was converted to a hotel, you still get a sense of the building’s history. And there is quirky E. M Forester-era wooden furniture everywhere, both in the rooms and the in the with open-walled reception & lounge areas that look out into the shady hotel courtyard garden

This is one of my favourite hotels in all the world. The pool is my all time favourite, there is so much to see and do in the area and while swimming. The food is fantastic tho the service at breakfast could be sharper! I know not everyone likes the noise of the little ferry but I love the vibe of being in the heart of a ‘working area’ and all the comments and goings. I love the new addition of afternoon tea and we went for a couple of spins on the bikes which was a little scary but very much fun!
